Abortion Care Network

The Abortion Care Network is the driving force behind the movement to de-stigmatize and normalize the abortion experience while offering support and training to abortion providers.

Founded by the merger of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers and the Abortion Conversation Project, ACN has created a network of independent abortion providers, supportive allied organizations, and socially conscious individuals who are deeply invested in creating an environment where women who choose abortion, and those that provide care, are no longer harassed or shamed by the choices they make.

The Abortion Care Network takes advantage of all avenues of communication to connect the abortion care community, offering many levels of resources, support and networking opportunities. Current examples: monthly webinars for frontline staff, downloadable protocol-sharing from members, issue oriented teleconferences, a Facebook page and print and online newsletters. ACN reaches millions of women through our members and through on-line venues, and quality handouts.

Along with challenging a stigmatized view of abortion, ACN members are also dedicated to the training of the next generation of abortion providers. ACN focuses on the underserved front line staff including counselors, advocates, clinic administrators and medical support staff who care for women and their families. With the “graying” of abortion providers, ACN’s commitment is to ensure that future providers get the support they need in order to provide the best in abortion care. With the vast majority of all abortions in the U.S. provided by independent providers, it is critical that there is an organization dedicated to continually raising the bar for quality abortion care.

          yes

  2. Irene Janninds Says:

ACN is the network that connects providers experiencing harassment as they go public with videos of the harassment that they experience on a daily basis, and harness the power of on-line social networking. ACN is creating a positive movement to expose this damaging and stigmatizing activity and bring hope to clinic workers.

  3. Bruce Richardson Says:

I dont know this ACN thing, but whoever wrote this is not very smart. They said the same thing twice up top. Sue Wicklund is a notorious killer of babies!

    1. Craig McGuire Says:

What are talking about, it looks like the format is far from perfect, how does one make that leap of inference you just made?

What about the work they do helping abortion rights, thats the issue, not their Font!

    2. Craig McGuire Says:

      Bruce Richardson Dunkle,
are you the same dude as that other guy?

    3. Wilam S, NC Says:

      Bruce is an idiot.

  4. Pat Richards Says:

Sue Wicklund is one of the most upstanding, professional women that I have ever met. She has endured more crap than most people could ever imagine and she continues to serve people. Kudos to Sue Wicklund.

    To defend Abortion,
    Where is the trailer?

  6. Craig McGuire Says:

It is a little scary commenting without the opportunity to see the trailer . . .

    1. Pat Richards Says:

Craig, what “trailer” are you referring to?

Thanks for chiming in, Liva. Sue Wicklund has undergone absolute torture over her years from the anti-abortion radicals. Yet. she has persisted and continues to serve women. Imagine going to your office every day wondering if the office will blow up when you open up the door or if a bullett will be heading for your back as you approach the facility???ndergaineewh st,

I just want you to know that I support your cause somewhat. I don’t feel there is anything wrong with abortions even though I am a pentecostal. The bottom line is God forgives. I wish I’d gotten one several years ago, but I love my children now, so it was for the best. Still life could have been so much different
